I have an awful chest cold with serious coughing. My doctor said you could take Mucinex on my approved meds form but didn’t specify with the cough syrup type?... does anyone know if this is safe to take? I’m 23w and 4days

No unfortunately not that one. We can’t take phenylephrine :( and my dr also said no dextrmethorpan unless I absolutely need it and only take it for a day or two. I have an awful cold as well and I’m trying to stick to sudafed (from pharmacy, not the phenylephrine) Tylenol and guaifenesin. Feel better!

My doctor oked this with me. I took it twice and was cleared up after that. I'm 21 weeks pregnant. Just call your doctor and ask!
