Diaper too tight?

Question

If the diaper I put on her leaves indents on her butt, does that Mean I am putting it on too tight? Or is she okay? No signs of distress or pain from it. She’s a premie size but being put in newborn diapers for right now, so I just want to make sure it’s being put on securely.

I wouldn’t make that tight. An over tight diaper can be just as bad as one that’s too loose, especially when it comes to newborn poop. If it’s too tight, there won’t be room for the poop, it will come out the sides and up the back.

From what I've seen, all diapers make small imprints. As long as there is no signs of distress or a rash appearing in or around the indents im sure you're okay. But you could try loosening the diaper a bit to see if that helps with the indents
