Do I need the swing and bouncer?

Soon to be first time mom here. I have the Rock N Play on my baby registry. Do I also need both the swing and bouncer? If not, which one do you recommend?

They make swings now where the seat detaches and turns into a bouncer.

Between the two of my kids they used a swing maybe 10 times. They didn't like them and they're huge and bulky. I wouldn't buy one.

The rock n play was a godsend for most parents I know, including us. He slept in it at night by the bed the first 4 months. It was great bc it folds up so small and is light weight so I could take it from room to room if needed, or to a family members house. Rock n play is the #1 recommendation for any new mom. We never had a normal bouncer, but used the swing. To me the rock n play is more of a bassinet type than like a seat.

We have all 3 already thanks to really good sales. But id say from the advice we got from everyone else, the swing is really good to get baby to nap in, and everyone loves the rock n play. Bouncer they all said they could live without

Ftm as well. I got the bouncer & after putting it together I realized I might need the swing 😩 so now I have both, I’ll most likely give the bouncer away.

I would just do the swing. No need for the rock n play or bouncer. Some people let their kids sleep in the rock n play but its really not recommended and the instructions even tell you not to do that
