Am I a bad mother?

Am I a bad mother for considering formula for my second born? I breastfed my first but I couldnt pump at all so I literally got no breaks and as a 19 year old new mom, it took a toll on my mental health. I'm now 23 and 22 weeks pregnant. I'm thinking of formula so my husband can help. Or thinking about mixing formula and breastmilk in the same bottle. Idk. I saw a mom on my FB shame forumla feeding moms, calling them lazy.

I hate mum shamers. Formula feeding is not lazy, as long as they are fed and healthy who cares if it's from bottle or breast. All 3 of mine wouldn't take to my breasts so I had to formula feed plus it hurt me like hell, So number 4 is going to be formula fed xxx

Girl don’t even worry about it, if you want to breast feed and formula feed then go for it, if you just want to formula feed then do it. The best thing is to make sure you’re in good health and mind set so you can take care of baby. 
Let me tell you something, I tried to BF my little one and it wasn’t working out, I was so angry and unhappy with myself so I pump and formula feed. Now I can be a better mom for my little one. 
Do what’s best for you, your mental health, your baby and your family.

I’m debating on not breastfeeding this baby. I have three other kids & it’s just exhausting. If I’m a bad mom 🤷🏻‍♀️ They’re my kids and I’ll do what I want. No one else is raising or paying for my kids. And no, I don’t use WIC either because I can’t stand their “you need to do this or else” attitude.

You are not a bad mother. My daughter almost starved to death because of breastfeeding. I have had ptsd for over two years now and will NOT be attempting breastfeeding again. It will be formula from the get go. I did everything right with my daughter, it was the doctors that failed us, but I will NOT risk another baby's life.

You can breastfeed and introduce 2 or 3 formula feeds through the day to make it easier on yourself. However I don't think mixing formula and breast milk in a bottle of advisable. All the best with your decision.

I wouldn't mix formula and breastmilk in the same bottle. But my 4th baby, I both breastfed and formula fed. As long as you breastfeed first, you can do that. For example, I breastfeed only mornings and bedtime, the rest of the day I formula feed. That way you don't have to pump (I was bad at pumping as well)

No shaming... I understand, breastfeeding is not mt favorite activity, and yes, especially the first 6 months it is a full time job! Bit, breastfeeding of you can is such a gift to your baby... if you are not able to produce enough milk, do what you need to do. But breastfeeding is really soooo amazing... I watched a lecyure on it recently and was blown away by all the benefits I did not know... there are stem cells and antobodies in breastmilk daily, and in some cases, breastmilk can heal genetic issues.... so crazy! So I would not say you are a bad mom if you formula feed. A dear friend is formula feeding and has a happy baby... you are not a bad mom to formula feed, but if you can find a way to make breastfeeding work, I think it is so worth it. :) either way, lots of love is the most important thing for baby. :)
