Baby poops between 4 and 6 times within a 24 hour period since birth. Is this typical for ebf babies?

I know I just saw a post that said their ebf baby didnt poop for several days and many of you said that was normal. My baby has never gone a day where he didn’t poop at least four times and most days he poops several 5 or 6 times. Does anyone else have a baby that poops this many times daily?

Pooping alot within the first few months is super normal (good even)! My ebf baby would poop up to 8xs a day for the first 2 months then it started slowing down around 12 weeks to about 2-3xs daily. Now he's almost 4 months and can go a week+ without pooping!

I don't think you have anything to worry about. If anything you should consider you and your baby lucky that he/ she has a very functioning bowel system. My baby is ebf as well and poops once a day now. However, the first month or so he would poop 2-3 times a day, but they weren't very big so I assume he just had more to empty out later. Whereas now his 1 poop is quite large. I don't know how much your baby is pooping at a time but if it's a few small poops throughout the day it seems totally normal to me. But if it's like 3-4 blowouts then maybe that's something to ask your pediatrician.
Side note: funny how the topic of poop is so normal and casual once you have a baby.

Yes it’s normal. My son would poop almost at every feeding and the doctor says it’s totally normal.

My boy is just shy of 4 months and poops around 5-7 times a day. Pretty much with every feeding and is ebf. Doctor says it’s normal and some babes just poop more. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My ebf baby was having multiple blow outs a day. It was exhausting and she was quite upset. I eliminated most dairy after her two month appt and she has done so much better. She poops daily but not as forcefully and is very sweet and chill. Might be worth looking into more?
