help me out

So me and this guy have started “talking” and I really like him. Now he told me about his past and the things that he’s done. Long story short he used to get around and all that good stuff. I was fine with that because anything before me, within reason, is irrelevant. So it’s been about 2 or 3 weeks and we had sex in this time period. Now recently I was telling my friends about him and they were telling me that he is a terrible guy and he’s tried to get with alot girls and that he’s just not a good guy overall. Now when i’m with him and even when i’m not with him he’s really sweet and doesn’t give me these vibes at all. He does really nice things for me and thinks of me when he doesn’t need to, overall just being a really good guy. Now because my friends told me this I don’t really know what to do. My friends told me one thing but my brain is telling me another. What should I do?
