Newborn sleep???

My 6 day old newborn hates laying flat on her back and seems to prefer a slight incline. We added a firm, slight incline wedge under the bassinet pad however last night when baby became fussy and squirmy she started to turn side ways causing her to slide down in bassinet. Freaked me out!! What do you mamas do to position baby and know they are safe/secure. FTM by the way 🤷🏼‍♀️

Try a rock and play has a dmall incline to it. It is awesome for babies with reflex keeps them propped up, so im sure your newborn will love the slight incline to it :)

I’d persist with sleeping flat on her back in her bassinet. It’s the only position that’s recommended to be safer for SIDS. 
She’s bee curled up in your tummy for 9 months, so it’s normal for it to be a big adjustment, that she probably won’t like for a while, but it’s worth it to get her used to it early on. 
Please don’t rush into using a rock n play etc. they’re not safe for longer/ unsupervised sleep

We had a rock and play, and when she was sick we copied what the hospital did and shaped a towel into a “U” shape and slid it underneath the fitted sheet so that it cupped her and held her in place when the bed was inclined.
