MIL Help
My mother in law lives with us - she’s slightly disabled but still works, just doesn’t make a sustainable income. My husband and I currently do not work, I come from a family where I don’t HAVE to. (I choose to, I was just put on maternity leave a little early). So I’m busy cooking every night and he usually does the dishes. Every once in a while we wait till morning to do the dishes. But. My mil has started doing them. And while I appreciate the effort - she absolutely SUCKS at it - it also may be because she hasn’t been to an optometrist in ages so her eyes aren’t what she thinks they are. Either way, as I said, I appreciate the effort but it’s frustrating to literally have to rewash everything she attempts. (I made a brisket yesterday and the sauce was still caked in the pot, in the clean dish rack 🤦🏼♀️). My husband tried to nicely tell her that “hey we’re not working. Let us do the chores” and her response was “I had time”. So I just need some help in composing and extremely polite text message to her, asking/telling her to please stop doing dishes. Please please help.
