Am I shallow for not wanting to date someone with a baby?

Question

So, I met this guy who I’ve been digging and crushing on for a minute, but he hasn’t really opened up a lot to me. I made a big no no and decided to type his name in on Facebook where I found his profile. As I scrolled I saw multiple pictures of him and a baby. I was really hoping it was his sister, but unfortunately it turned out to be his 2 year old daughter. 
As I was scrolling further, it looks like the mother of his child doesn’t get along with him and that he doesn’t get to see her a lot. I don’t know if I would be ready to take on that drama if we were to actually date. I know what my step mom endured when I was younger and she was always in the middle of my mom and dad’s arguments/nonsense over me. 
Plus, I’m too young to try to play step mommy to anyone yet. I know how mothers are with their child being around new people, so I wouldn’t blame her if she had her reservations about me. I don’t know, maybe I’m over thinking this? 
He doesn’t know that I know and I haven’t brought it up to him yet...what should I do? Also, am I too shallow about the situation?

No, you’re not shallow/wrong/immature, or anything else for not wanting to date someone who has a child. You’re smart for taking it seriously and realizing that that’s not something you’re interested in. If you aren’t ready/don’t want to be a parental figure right now, then it’s best that you don’t date someone with a child. 
Relationships that involve children are vastly different from those that don’t. The child always has to come first, there will (likely) always be a co parenting situation (which can also bring its own flood of issues) and that parent will be around the rest of their life, you have to be willing/able to be a parental figure, and a bunch of other things. It’s not for everyone, and that’s okay 
I honestly applaud you for not being one of those people who get into a relationship that involves a child and then realizing it’s not for them after the child’s attached/ect, or realizing it’s not for them and then wanting the parent to abandon the child for the relationship, or any other shitty thing

Dating someone with a kid isnt for everyone im 20 and my boyfriend is 19 with a 20month old and some days it’s extremely hard but i love kids and knew what i was getting myself into

No. A kid is a huge deal. You are in no way obligated to look over that for the sake of possibly being "shallow" either. I had a guy lie to me about that and I found out about a week into us talking. I immediately called it off and he tried to throw that "you're so shallow" shit at me 😑
