Baby helmet help?!?

Question

Today we found out our 6 month old needs a helmet to correct some flatness on the back right side of his head, caused by a tight muscle on the left side of his neck, making him favor the right! We’re being referred to a physical therapist for his neck issue (torticollis) and getting a helmet on the 17th for the flatness. Anyone that’s dealt with this how did it go for your little one?? He also has a lot of hair and I’m wondering if it’ll rub it off! Any advice would be wonderful! ❤️

Second, take him to a pediatric chiropractor!! Their adjustments are safe and very effective when it comes to torticollis !

You just described my son!
He also has Torticollis on his right side.
And has quiet a bit of hair .
I had to take him to physical therapy to correct his neck and for the flatness of his head he wore the helmet.
He is actually on his 2nd helmet at the moment.
He did really well with it no issues at it didn’t bother him.
He also has a lot of hair so I was asked to keep it short because they do tend to get sweaty and it can irritate them.

My daughter got it at 7 months and wore it until she was 11 months. It felt like forever, esp with all the appts, but her head looks pretty darn good now. 
It is annoying, but worth it!

Went through the same thing with my son. Right side flat because of torticollis. He did physio and it fixed the torticollis. We also got a helmet and it didn’t rub off any hair. It stays in place. So worth it to fix their heads and it doesn’t take long at all. We did 4 months. :)

No experience with a helmet but chiropractic care cured my daughter’s severe torticollis and her flat spot disappeared soon after treatment.

I have literally no experience with this stuff, I’m sorry, but omfg your baby is SO cute! I’ve always thought those helmets are really cute too 😆 They can make them in all sorts of fun colors and I just think they do a great job of making medically necessary stuff fun

All we did was physical therapy and that helped around our daughters head without a helmet
