About a year ago my husband and his uncle got completely wasted at our place and after my husband passed out his uncle made like he was leaving and "hugged" me. This "hug" consisted of him groping my breast and butt and I was stunned and before I could react he said he needed to use the bathroom and walked off. The bathroom is right by our room- and I went to try to wake up my husband and I could hear his uncle masturbating and moaning in our bathroom. Then he came out and left without speaking to me again-I was shaking my husband in our bedroom trying to wake him. The next morning I told my husband and his mom what happened and they both blew up at the uncle and threatened him to never pull that shit again. But then told me that he couldnt remember doing that bc he was blackout drunk. Now I'm expected to go to family events with my husbands family and act like that uncle didn't do that. His kids keep trying to involve me on their family traditions and I just dont want to go. Im angry that I cannot express my anger and humiliation over what happened. I'm angry that bc it was a year ago everyone who knows of the incident is completely over it and keeps hanging out with him. My husband even lets him into our house...

I know I should just get over it bc it wasnt like he raped me or nothing but every time I see him I want to yell at him to get away from me and to not touch my kids.

Edit: so today I brought it back up with my husbands mom and she actually got so "offended" that i said he assaulted me she started crying and pulling up definitions as to how he did not do that. So I said okay then he molested me but whatever you call it it was still wrong and she replied "okay Yeah but that word is still a stretch. I am so offended you said that. He might have hurt you emotionally but you were just groped. He didnt hurt you physically and you are fine." And i got so mad I just walked away.

Now I have no idea what to do bc I never imagined she would ever say something like that.
