Hey ladies...I know this is really weird and I apologize. But this past Sunday my SO and I started to explore oral and I’m a virgin in every aspect so I’ve never given head, he reassured me that I didn’t have to do it until I was ready but that’s not why I was nervous. 
I literally...had no idea what to do. Zero. I tried stroking him and licking his tip but as for sucking or anything like that I got super nervous for some odd reason? I was worried about gagging or vomiting and accidentally using teeth so I just avoided it I guess..
I want to please my partner and if anyone could give me tips or tricks on what to do or what works that would be GREATLY APPRECIATED...

First, there's absolutely nothing to apologize for. You're using an app to learn and explore your body, cycle, etc.
Secondly, since your partner is aware that you're inexperienced then he should already know that you're not going to give head like a pornstar. I'm assuming he's already prepared for it to be trial runs.
Third, do what makes you feel comfortable. Don't get to involved in your own thoughts, sex is supposed to be fun. 
After you're relaxed, try just sicking on the head like you would a bottle. Be careful with your teeth, use your tongue to put a layer between the bottom of your mouth and his head. While you're sucking on his head, use your hand to stroke his shaft. Once he responds to that, just slowly allow his penis to go further into your mouth. Only goes as far your comfortable with. If you're aware of your gag reflex and depending on his size, your hands are going to be really helpful. Use either lube (KY lube is sweet with no flavor) or spit, it'll make it a lot easier to maneuver and more pleasurable for him. I wouldn't put too much thought into gagging or vomiting because you should only take in as much as you can handle but you can also squeeze one hand into a ball with your thumb tucked in to decrease the chances of gagging. 
Just do what makes you feel comfortable and whatever you find yourself to enjoy. Let it be fun and silly. Let him know that you're nervous and ask him what he would like.

THANK YALL SO MUCH. I tried all of your tips the night before and he was so gentle and patient with me, he even started giving me his own tips in what HE LIKED. - but I will say we tried this one position where he’s laying down and I’m hovering over his lap from the side to give him head. And I wasn’t as nervous??? So maybe I just can’t handle eye-contact yet 😂😂😂😂
