Can i claim myself on my taxes this year
I know it's not quite tax time but I'm trying to prepare. I've made 25,000 so far (before taxes)
I started paying for my own insurance in June 2018, I moved out of my mom's house July 2018, when I was living with her I paid her rent and did housework etc. We had a rent agreement type thing that said the rent that I paid her included food, utilities, and that sort of thing so in a way I was technically paying for everything.
I started paying her rent in Sept. 2017. Even before paying for rent I was in charge of paying for my own clothes, car insurance, phone bill, gas for car, car repairs, etc. Basically everything and I continued to pay all that when I paid her rent.
She does not support me financially at all, I pay for everything I need/want on my own.
