kids and cars?!

i have a 2 door coupe and really struggling on what to upgrade to. i really think i want the space of an suv and the help it gives by being more waist level to put a baby in his or her car seat. does it really make that much of a difference? i’m hoping to make this my last car for a while, so not sure how many more kids we’d have by then. but we have a dog and then there’s groceries and road trips.

i know i can’t keep my coupe, i hate even putting a case of water in the back seat 🙄 my husband will also be deployed for 9 months right after baby is born so i’m going to need as much help i can get.

if yes to sedans, which makes and models have you found to be reliable with little to no mechanical issues. my choices are really between acura, chevy, ford, GMC, nissan, infiniti and toyota. anything helps!
