pre-boarding?

I’m flying back home to Indiana this Monday and, as of today, am 27 weeks. I’m flying with American Airlines and since I’ve decided to procrastinate and wait on my ticket I got stuck with Basic Economy which means that I don’t get any upgrades, yada yada yada. But, I will have a carry on that will too much for me to lift over my head? Has anyone ever flown with AA and they allowed you to pre-board being that you were pregnant? I didn’t think about this two weeks ago and now I’m stressing.

When you get to the airport to check in just ask about pre-boarding. They can put it right on your ticket for you. Last October hubby and I flew for our honeymoon and I have really bad flight anxiety. We didn’t get to pick our seats in time so we weren’t sure if we would be able to get seats together. When we checked in hubby mentioned to the woman that I get anxiety and was there anyway for us to ensure getting seats together? She marked our tickets so we could pre-board on the flight to our destination and on the flight home.

I would just go up to the desk at the gate and ask for help with boarding due to your condition. I’m sure they’ll help you out!

When I traveled pregnant I went during preboarding.

I doubt they will call it, but if you ask they might let you. I got lucky last time we flew, as I was able to board with my significant other who is active duty military. I am 26 weeks pregnant and don’t look very big, so I feel like airlines would judge me for asking, unfortunately.

I personally never had any issues lifting something as simple as a carry-on. I was still lifting 100+ pound weights at 40 weeks lol so I'd never ask to preboard just because of a pregnancy. But you can always ask if you're really that concerned.
