Would you get an epidural again?

Hell no. I had the most competent and unprofessional team ever during my second pregnancy. I did not get the epidural with my first. I caved on my second because everyone there was a fuckwit. They tried two times and failed. Stuck my stupid ass a third time, then my baby decides he's going to come flying out before the epidural even starts kicking in. Got stabbed in the back three times, felt every bit of pushing, then the shit kicks in after I've already had my baby, so I can't do anything or feel my legs.

Yes! I loved it honestly, for both births I got mine at 5cms dialated, both times I was so exhausted that I was falling asleep in between my two minute contractions only to wake up again once the pain hit. It slowed my contractions and labor by a couple of hours but I was ok with that because I really needed the rest. I was able to feel the need to push but without most the pain, my second only took four pushes even with the epidural :) I had great anesthesiologists both times.

Being a FTM I didn't want the epidural, mostly because I was confident in myself but I just hate needles with a passion. I do have to say 27.5 hours in labor with no sleep (my decision) is not for everyone lol

36 hours into my 44 hour induction I couldn’t do it anymore. I’m thankful I was able to finally rest and be present and enjoy my delivery.

Yes! Mine was wonderful and i didn't have any side effects. I wasn't even fully numb and i loved it. Plus i waited to get it and i think that helped out alot. The majority of my labor was unmedicated (minus the useless morphine) so by the time i was ready for the epi it was welcomed.

I dont think so. Was in la or for 27 hours  and epidural completely failed. Tried to reposition it didnt work, redid the entire epidural ddint work... 3 times and failed. Felt EVERYTHING !

Only if I have to. The one I got halfway through my first birth (30+ hours, needed a break from pitocin contractions) was fine, was so far gone, barely even felt the first needle. I think it made it harder to push, though. Just got one a couple days ago for an attempted version, didn’t like it at all. Between not having any contraction pain to distract me from the needles, blood pressure dipping a couple times, and getting super itchy...and to top it off, the rolling back and forth to get my blood pressure up made my baby flip herself head down.🤦🏼‍♀️ We’ll see how it goes, I really want to labor in the tub this time, anyway.

I’m going to try to not get it again because I still have pain in my back sometimes from where they put it in. That was 16 months ago..

I was in so much pain I didn't give a flying shit about one little needle going quickly into my back 😂
