Putting baby in own room?

Ok, mama’s. My 15 month old baby girl has co slept with us up until the last few weeks. She’s now sleeping in a pack-n-play beside our bed. We are in the process of buying a new house, and her room will be RIGHT across the hall (which is one reason she hasn’t been in her room is because it’s further away). 
Oh, and if I shall add, I am currently 26 weeks pregnant with baby #2, who I am going to try to have in his own room at about 3 months. 
I’m scared that it’s going to be much harder on me and my anxiety to put her in her own room than it will be on her. I’m so used to sleeping with her and her being in the room with us. Any advice?

Literally just hopped on here for input on the same thing! We have coslept and just moved into a new house. I had her sleeping in her own room at 12 months for a few weeks, then we moved here and went back to cosleeping. Now it’s SO HARD getting her in her room. Tonight is night #1 and we are going on two hours of crying and I’ve been laying on the floor next to the crib the whole time. I don’t know what to do. 😭

We did this in multiple steps, around 9 months old. First, we moved the crib he would be sleeping in into our room for a few nights to get used to the new bed. We had him stay in the room alone during nap. Next, we actually left the crib in our room for a couple nights and slept in the different room while he stayed alone.Then we moved him into his own room. It took some light sleep training, but he never cried for more than 10 minutes. Good luck!

My daughter does a mix of bedsharing and sleeping in her crib in our bedroom. Today I wanted to clean my room during her nap time so we moved her crib into “her” room (where she has never spent a single night). She went down for her nap without issue, maybe a little longer crying but she does usually cry for a few mins when we first put her down. 
I think because she’s already familiar with the crib it helps. I’d say try moving her to the crib in your room first, then move the crib to her room. 
I love having her in our bed and so does my husband so we’re not planning on moving her to her own room basically ever 😂I figure if she’s old enough to either sleep in her bed in the other room or ask to move to her own room then we’ll do it, but until then we love our little bedsharing family. We have a king size bed so that helps too 😂

My daughter has been sleeping in her own room since 4 months. But, now that I have a 3 month old we are trying to get my 16 month old to sleep in her toddler bed. She did good for a while but now she refuses to sleep in it. We are cosleeping with the new baby but I want my bed back lol. We just bought a new house so I'm hoping that she will get back into her toddler bed so we can use the crib for the new baby. The longer you prolong it the harder it will be.
