Hello! I'm 17 and have recently discovered I am pregnant. My partner and I fully intend on finding work to support ourselves, but we are currently both unemployed. We understand that prenatal care is crucial for our child's health and safety, but we currently cannot afford it long-term. We should have enough for the first couple of visits depending on the clinic we go to, but we know that this pregnancy will likely be labeled high-risk due to my health concerns and are afraid that we won't be able to afford the number of visits we will have before we are able to find sufficiently-paying jobs. Does anyone know if minors are able to apply for Medicaid for pregnant women without their parents consent? It is currently unsafe for my child for me to disclose this information to my parents.
