House too hot?

What’s a good temp for a newborn baby in the house? My MIL is always putting the heat to seriously 90 to the point where i can’t breath through my nose!! It’s so fucking annoying!!!!! I’m scared when baby’s born she’ll do that at night and baby will have a hard time breathing and I’ll just have to dress baby in a diaper at night . What temp is safe for a newborn?

We keep ours at 69. Went to grandparents house the other day and they refused to turn down the heat, open a window, anything. My 3 month old was hot and ended up getting heat rash that we are still dealing with 😡 I would show them evidence

Honestly I’m not sure but I feel you! I was living with my aunt when I had my daughter. Her place was soooo hot. Like it was seriously a sauna up in that bitch. I had to keep my daughter in just a diaper. It was hard for her to sleep because she was uncomfortable. At times I had to wipe her down with a wet rag in the middle of the night just to make her a bit more comfortable. I say have the discussion with her now before baby gets here and if she doesn’t budge in her ways then get a little fan for you and baby. Cause babies to get hot! But they can’t speak for themselves. My daughter had terrible heat rashes. Best of luck

Overheating increases the risk for SIDS. Definitely have your husband talk to her!

Yeah I’d definitely talk to her about it. I keep my house around 67-70 and my little man still sometimes sweats in his sleep, he’s like a little oven! You don’t want your baby to get over heated!
