Will inducing help my mental health?

I’ve had pretty bad anxiety and depression for years now. In the first trimester of this pregnancy I was admitted to a behavioral health hospital for suicidal ideations. I got my meds sorted out and things were good... but I’ve noticed the last week or two my suicidal ideations are back, and getting stronger. I’m assuming this is because I’m at 38 weeks now and my body is producing more hormones to get ready for labor. Would asking my doctor if I can be induced help get my hormones under control so my meds can work??

I hate having these thoughts and I can’t seem to get them under control. I know there will be hormones and I’ll need to adapt to life after baby is born but then I’m that much closer to “normal” hormones and I’ll have my mom or sister with me 24/7 for the first 2 weeks.

I’m going to bring it up to my doctor on Wednesday I just wanted to get some feedback from other moms.
