Genuine question

Why do girls repeatedly get pregnant by a man that does nothing for their kids? My cousin is always on social media complaining about her deadbeat babydaddy. She’s been complaining about how he doesn’t help with their kids since they had their first child 7 years ago. They now have 5 kids and she still complains about him being a total deadbeat for the past 7 years. I’m embarrassed for her
