C Section Questions

My c Section is Thursday, December 27th at 2pm. I have questions! If any experienced mama could help me I will be so grateful, I want to hear your stories.

-does a spinal hurt? I know for an epidural they do it while you have a contraction, but I won’t be contracting obviously because it’s a scheduled procedure! (Unless of course I go into labor beforehand, in which case they said they’ll do my surgery when I go into labor)

-I’m so afraid of the catheter. Do they put it in after the spinal? This is probably what I’m most afraid of. I understand there’s going to be a lot going on and what not but I KNOW I’ll notice it going in if I’m not numbed first. And if they do it before they numb me....does it hurt? I’m petrified. How about when they take it out? Do they do that while I’m still numb?

-i know people say you feel pressure and that’s it. But what KIND of pressure? Am I going to feel my organs being taken out like a human sized Operations game?

-I have terrible anxiety. I forgot to ask my doctor whether or not there was something they could give me to prevent me from having an anxiety induced heart attack.

These are all the questions I forgot to ask my doctor because I had so much on my mind during my last appointment so please- no negativity about “you should ask your doctor, not the internet” ! Your advice and stories and answers will help me greatly.
