My first official job was as a university math and chemistry tutor. I worked 8-12 hours a week and made $15/hr. I was 18 at the time. I’d done a lot of volunteer work prior to that and I also tutored for cash throughout high school, but due to living overseas as an expat I couldn’t legally hold an official job. Otherwise I’d have started working earlier than that.
