How Long Does it Take Your Baby to Fall Asleep?
I’ve been really working on following my baby’s cues to avoid making him overtired or overstimulated. His cues for sleep are yawns and rubbing his eyes. When I see him yawn, I get him ready for his nap.
But after I put him down, sometimes it can take him 20 to 30 minutes to actually fall asleep! 🤔 Am I putting him down too soon?!?
I mean, he will lay there happily, cooing to himself and looking around. Eventually I’ll see his eyelids droop more and more and he will conk out. But sometimes it takes a while!
I get so nervous because the line is so fine for him. If I hold him too long he gets fussy and I’ve missed my window.
I guess I’m just wondering how long it takes your babies to nap?
