Help! Baby cries if I’m not there, driving dad nuts 😢
Veteran moms, I need some advice.
My 6 month old has just (as of the past 3 days) decided that he can’t stand to be away from me. He cries and screams unconsolably when I leave the room: at first it was sort of flattering, but now it’s causing problems for my husband because he can’t console our baby. 😢 I went for a run today and he cried his eyes out the whole time. I took a phone call for work in the other room, and I had to leave the call early because my son was screaming his head off! My husband plays with him, reads to him, rocks him in his bouncer, but NOTHING helps. It’s so discouraging for him. He adores his daddy when we’re all together - they’re the best of friends, but as soon as I leave he just goes crazy.
Anyone had this happen before? Is this separation anxiety? It seems so severe! What do we do?
