Does my guy bestfriend like me ?!?!

So me and this "friend" have been friends for 8 years, but secret cuddle buddies and secret lovers for the past 4. We're still really good friends and totally understanding when one of us starts to talk to someone else.

The other night we were laying in the back of his truck around 2 am just talking and being cuddly. When out of the blue he asked what my plans were when I finished school. I said "IDk, probably come home, try to find a job, maybe get an apartment. I think it would be smart to room with couples cause then you can rent a 2 bedroom and split rent 4 ways" and he slyly said "well why dont you come stay with me at my place till you get settled." I replied with, "well we would have to get two rooms because we might kill each other" and laughed it off. He then said "I dont think we would, plus I would want to do this (cuddle) with you almost all the time" and then kinda chuckled.

So what you think ? Am I reading too much into it?? or do you think he may start to like me??? Or do you think he just likes me as a back up?

Ps- I kinda like him but would very much sacrifice that to stay his friend only.

PPS- I'm secretly planning to marry home when we're both 30 and still single!
