I have severe chronic asthma and afraid of having children
I don’t plan on having kids soon but recently my mother told me about a friend she lost years ago to childbirth. According to her, from what she’s been told, her friend died from lack of oxygen. She wasn’t asthmatic but had a failing lung for years and gave out during the birth.
Since then, I’ve been afraid of what could happen to me if I have children.
I want children in the future. And I don’t mind adoption. But if I do end up pregnant, should I be afraid?
My mother thinks I’m being dramatic. Please give me your opinion.
If possible, I could not like to go into detail about my health. Thank you.
