No....phenylephrine is not safe.  Having a cold while pregnant is tough.  Hang in there 😩

I am just recovering from a cold. All I did was took Tylenol 3 times I think for a very bad headache and body ache. I also took vitamin C everyday. Drink plenty of fluids to help loosen up drainage.

You need to avoid phenylephrine and dextromethorpan. If you are in your second tri you can have guaifenesin and sudafed (from pharmacist).

I just had a bad headcold and my OB told me I could take Sudafed and afrin for a few days. I went to the pharmacist and asked which ones I could take while pregnant and they gave me the right ones. Wait to hear back from your OB since yours might feel differently. I only needed them for 2 days and I took 1/2 dose Sudafed (1 tab) during the day and used the afrin at night so I could breathe.

Elderberry girl! It doesn’t treat symptoms but it will treat the virus itself and you’ll get over it so much faster. Sambucol or sambucus. So helpful.
