IUD and weight gain?

Sooo, curious cause I’ve been thinking about getting an IUD. Did any of you gain weight? And if so, which IUD did you have??

I have the Mirena. I gained 22lbs in the first month of having it (no I didn’t change my eating habits for those who will say that). I was told that it can’t make you gain weight but it definitely did for me and I’ve actually come across many women who have gained weight on it too. After that first month I plateaued though.

I have copper iud for 1 year and 5 months now. from 42 kg to 50kg for the entire time. Not much of drastic weight gain. So I don’t think it does 😊

I’ve gained 40lbs since I’ve had mine (16 months).

I have the Mirena. Never gained weight. My periods are so much lighter. They still last five days as usual, but i only need a panty liner, and I don’t have cramps 😭😍
