Am I over reacting???

So my husband and I have been married for about 9 months. I am currently pregnant, and a senior in college so we do not live together officially as my college is 3hours away. He refuses to get a joint account because he claims he is not ready to share his financials with me. When I am not at the house, he does not give me a dime, I am responsible for my up keeping, he pays nothing for me besides the most recent thing being a phone bill. He does not give me any money whatsoever. He he gets extra money for “taking care of the household” as he is in the military, but I do not live in said household. Am I wrong for requesting him to give me money??

Certainly NOT wrong. He’s being selfish. The least he can do is give you money as he gets paid since he doesn’t want to have joint accounts. He could even set up for a couple of your bills to be paid from his account but wow that’s crazy to me being that he’s your husband AND you’re pregnant AND he gets extra money because you’re married. 
How was he during the dating stages? Usually u can tell from then how someone handles their finances. You have to talk to him about it and make sure you finish school so you don’t ever have to depend on him. Best wishes!!

He’s very wrong. He’s your husband and you guys should take care of each other. You are three hours away and pregnant, he should give you spending/emergency money and access to the account. He’s being selfish and ridiculous.

You’re not over reacting but you two need to sit down and hash this out ASAP before it turns into a major fight. If I were you, I would want to know sooner rather than later if this is how your future is going to go.

No you’re not especially considering the only reason he is getting more money now is because you guys are married. What he’s doing is not ok and his chain of command would definitely have something to say about it. Sounds like he’s hiding something.

My husband and I do not share accounts.  My money is my money.  His money is his money.  We split the bills and go about our business.  So I honestly do not see anything wrong with what he is doing.  Most don't/won't agree with how we do things, but it works for us and it seems like that is what he wants.

Am I over reacting???
