Stopping sex as a couple not married ??

Question

Are there any other Christian couples who have stopped having sex together and being sexual together ?? 
We are over a year in and have recently stopped and I’m so glad we did. Did it change your relationship at all? How did it affect your relationship with yourself and God?

I believe y'all did a awesome thing. It will help y'all to see if sex was what was holding y'all together or of y'all love is the source. Plus God will honor y'all dicission to obey him.

My husband and I were sexually active for two years before we got “married”. I don’t believe a piece of paper is what defines a marriage. 
God made marriage to be one man and one woman coming together as one person through sex. I’m 1000% sure Adam and Eve didn’t have witnesses, a ceremony, and documentation.
Spiritually, you are married when you have sex. Socially and legally, a certified marriage means you are upholding laws and being morally upstanding.  
That being said. It is good for a relationship to abstain from sex for a time (1 Corinthians 7:5) and we have experienced awesome blessings from doing so. It can build a deeper relationship, reveal new ways of being connected, and allow time to be focused on God.

Yes, my boyfriend and I were having sex at the beginning of our relationship, almost been together 3 years now and we stopped having sex about over a year ago. It has allowed us to be closer I think. We have been able to get to know each other more and i truely think our overall communication in our relationship has improved. I feel closer to God but as for him I’m unsure. We decided to wait because we want our marriage to be blessed and honoured, that is if it is Gods will that we are to be married 😊 
Yes we still get very tempted and at times have come close to potentially giving in but you just remind yourself that whatever sin you do does impact the other person. Having sex with someone who isn’t my husband causes that person to be further from god cause they are sinning too. I don’t want that for my man.

Yes! When I met my husband we started having sex right away. It wasn’t until a few months later that we stopped and decided to wait until marriage. He struggled more than I did but we were able to make it with God’s help and asked for forgiveness the couple times we almost slipped. God blessed us immensely and he continues to bless us now that we are married. ❤️

Yes! God redeemed my husband and I's relationship. I believe we wouldnt be as strong today if it wasnt because of that. Keep strong in it, dont let the thought of falling back even creep in.
