Post-Insertion IUD Advice

So I’ve never posted anything on here but I feel as if this is the right place to request some advice on this topic...

I’m getting an IUD tomorrow at 9:30 and I’m not nervous or worried about the actual procedure, however I am interested in your personal post-insertion tips and stories!

For a better idea of who I am: I’m 17 years old and have been on the pill for about two years. I originally began taking BC for my horrible 15+ day long periods and my terrible acne, and it had helped until recently. Lately my periods are beginning to get long and agonizing again, and with me being sexually active AND next year being a collegiate athlete, it makes better sense to just get the IUD. I’ve done my research and I’m very excited to see if this helps!
