Mirena side affects

Stephanie

I've had a mirena 3 times placed now. My first one was after my son 13 years ago. It was wonderful, then removed after the 5 years and started to try for another child. I had 2 miscarriages, which I can't say was from the mirena but after 3 years I had to have 2 D&C I was pregnant with my daughter. pregnancy was not normal. I had placenta previa and accreta which I was hospitalized due that my placenta sat right over my cervix. So.... I don't know if mirena caused any problems with the miscarriages or with pregnancy but I never had anxiety in my life and with the last mirena I had placed after a few months of having it I started having anxiety, pain in my neck and shoulder blades, headaches, fatigue, nausea, panic attacks, tunnel vision, dizziness, racing heart, chest pains, hot flashes at night etc. A lot of the problems usually occur a week before my period and the week on. Sometimes I might get a period and sometimes not. If I do have a period I feel not as bad. The problems go away after my period is done. So I'm getting my removed after having it in for the past 8 months. I I'll keep you posted if the side affects resolve due to removal. I know it can take a couple of months for my body to get back to normal
