Am I dumb ?? Should I give him a second chance ?

So recently I had found out my bf cheated . He been texting some girl but never got physical with her . Her bf seen and he went to fight him . That’s when I found out Bc of the bruise he had and when I asked he lied told me it was bout his ex and some guy he been beefing it . Ok my dumb ass believed . My mom and dad asked him and he told me to leave the room and told them everything so I went back in to ask again what had happened that why he got down & he told me the same story . When my mom told me if I knew I said yes it was bout some guy he been beefing it with . She looked at me and said no it’s bout a girl from his job he been flirting with thru text & I went to ask him again & he said that the messages were bout work .. so I broke up with him Bc so many things were running thru my head . The next day he keep blowing up my phone saying he never cheated and that there was no proof and since him and my mom work at the same place the girl showed my mom the messages and came home to tell me it was all true .. & I gave him a call and told me why he kept tellin me lies after lies and he said he didn’t want to hurt me .. that it was a mistake what he did & he regrets it .. we been dating for 1 Year and 4 months .. he’s constantly blowing up my phone tellin me to give him another chance to change and make things good ‘ Bc he regrets loosing loosing me over some worthless female and he’s gonna do everything to get me back but every-time I think about it is like why cheat on someone you say you truly love ? He lost his family support and my family opened the doors to him .. cared for him as he was their son and he went to cheat on me .. My question is Should I take him back ?? Bc if he really did love me he would never do that right ? I really did fall in love with him 💔
