What did your baby wear home from the hospital and what did you wear other than hospital gown during delivery?

I can’t help you but my story is a bit funny. I was induced at 38 weeks with preeclampsia. I had nothing packed. I was already in the hospital by the time my fiancé was able to get off work. So he had to go to our house & pick out everything. He literally just grabbed handfuls of stuff. I didn’t wear anything after I got their of my own. Except the day we left & I just put back on the clothes I came in with. Our son went home in a oversized Halloween long sleeved onesie at the end of January. 😂 I guess that’s what I got for leaving him in charge.

My first I got her a full on coming home outfit. But literally I changed her when we got home. My second I put her in a footie and will be doing the same with my third on the way :) it’s easier for them and yourself. I just wore an t shirt and yoga pants and slippers home lol I did that with both and will do it again for my third :)

I took a nightgown that I could easily nurse in and a robe and slippers while in the hospital and sweatpants and tshirt to wear home. 
I took sleep sacks for my son while we were in the hospital. He had a cute outfit for him to wear home from the hospital with booties and a hat

I haven't had a baby in 3 years but I'm due in a month so I'm planning to do the same thing I did last time. I wore tank tops and cardigans in the hospital so I could feed easily and pajama pants that were comfy but I wouldn't care if they got ruined. I'm not a night gown person and I also didnt want my big giant pads and whatnot just out to be seen. Baby wore footies or one pieces without the feet so the stadf could get to her feet before we left. And socks.

My lil girl came home in a onesie, knitted cardigan and hat. I was too exhausted tbh to dress her up especially when I wasn’t planning on seeing anyone just going straight home. 
I myself wore a old night gown to deliver in then a brand new one on the ward and slippers.

I packed zipper footie pajama onesies for my boy (different sizes) and I’m pretty sure if you deliver in a hospital, you have to wear the gown during delivery..
