NOC SHIFT CNA/NURSE
I’ve been working 32 hours a week NOC shift for about 8 months and it’s very laid back, I go to work at 11pm and get off at 7am. I have 16 patients to look after and the am shift prefers if I get 3 people or more up every am so that they have an easier time getting everyone set for breakfast. Mind you I work with severe dementia patients who can sometimes deal with insomnia and unpredictable mood swings...I’m becoming drained...i know my performance ha decreased but my patients are cared for no matter how I’m feeling. Should I try and nap at work? Should I find something new? Is this just a phase? I want to keep my job but it’s taken a toll on me so I’ve done the minimum to keep myself going. I workout everyday and I have a three year old who goes to school Monday-Thursday. On my weekends to work I don’t have much help with her to get rest...I’m not sure what I can do to feel better and happy about work again.
