Resting Heart Rate
Update: period started at 19DPO and the resting heartrate plummeted back down to normal the day after. Disappointed but can only move forward and start letrozole this time instead of clomid.
So my resting heart rate, according to my fitbit, is and has been constantly 63-65bpm for the last year.
Since Christmas it’s leapt up to 75bpm and rising everyday.
We were on clomid just before and my scan on xmas eve said there were four follicles. 2x 14mm on the left ovary with a huge 19mm and a 17mm on the right.
They were planning on giving me injections to force ovulation but, as soon as they saw the four they stopped everything and told us not to BD and put this cycle down as a failure because the risk of multiple was too high (for them).
We were very upset and talked it over and decided to BD anyway. Christmas after all!
About a week ago just before the RHR hit the 70, i had excruciating Ovulation pains for about 5 days and since then my abdomen and surrounding have felt like the muscles have been stretched and pulled. I even had a day where I couldn’t bare for my partner to touch me because my breasts were so tender.
I still feel like it’s too early to test, but was all but convinced i could be until today when i looked up the metformin im on and saw that, that can cause increased heart rate. I’ve had metformin before afew months ago and had nothing like that but still, the doubt is starting to depress me.
