What could be wrong?

So I’m a FTM & my baby is 2 weeks now.. a couple nights ago he began whining on & off for seems like hours at a time. He’ll whine & be upset for about 10 seconds & then calm down, and a few minutes later start back up. No matter what I do it keeps happening. I check his diaper, feed him, pick him up, & make sure I’m switching positions frequently, even tried gas drops & nothing works, the whining just continues. He’s breastfed also if that makes any difference.. What could be wrong? Could he be Colic?
