Commenting on a pregnant woman’s weight/appearance
I always have people tell me that I’ve gotten the “wide pregnant nose” and you would be amazed the amount of people who feel it’s ok to ask how much weight I’ve gained during my pregnancy... and my immediate family (grandparents, siblings, aunts) call me “fatty” and comment on my size every time I see them. I don’t understand why people think that a woman’s pregnancy makes it ok to comment on her size and appearance. ITS NOT OK. pregnancy is suppose to make a woman feel beautiful but I feel huge and so self conscious due to the constant remarks on my appearance.
As a pregnant woman, does it offend you for someone to ask about your weight and/or comment on your appearance such as the “wide nose”?
