18 month old’s food! HELP

Help!

My 18 month old has become a super picky eater! It started around 14 months and I read its a phase but it’s going on soooo long!

I’m pregnant with no2 and getting super anxious over trying to get him to eat. Dreading mealtimes. Most days mealtimes take an hour to get him to eat anything. And if we are out i.e shopping or a restaurant or at a friends you can just rule him out of eating completely.

He used to eat anything and everything! Whether he picked it up off high chair or spoon fed or off your plate!

Now he will always eat breakfast! A bowl of cereal will easily get finished. Without fail! In fact if I gave him cereal all day he would be fine lol

Lunch he just stares at it and pushes it around and same with dinner. We offer him 1-2 snacks in the day and reduced his milk right down to see if that helps.

So somedays he will only snack instead of eat a bigger meal so like yesterday lunch I made him sandwich but instead he ate half a banana and a yogurt.

Now he only eats Stuff like .... Cheerios, toast with peanut butter, crackers, banana, apples, oranges, skips, yogurts.

He is hungry!

And will only eat what he wants to eat!

It’s definitely not a case of “baby won’t starve themselves etc” if I made him pasta we could sit there for 30 mins with him pushing it away if I was to offer cereal or fruit he would eat it straight away.

I need ideas of what to make him to eat. And how to serve it.

Like should I be cutting it up in small bits or fingers etc

What do you feed your child approx 18 months.

(If you are gonna respond and say whatever you are eating please give example)

I live in uk. So cannot visit paediatrician to ask because we don’t have allocated doctors like that here just GP’s.

Please give examples of honestly what your child Of similar age eats in a day

Thank you
