Endometriosis surgery/ lap

So I already see a endometriosis specialist so I don’t want the advice see a new doctor please lol but my doctor wanted to started me off on iud for endo before he does the surgery however it has not made a difference whatsoever. How do you push for the surgery? Of course I don’t want surgery but my doctor already told me with all my symptoms I’m at a small stage of my endometriosis so I rather get the surgery over with and stop this pain!! How did y’all talk your doctor into it?
