Late period

I am currently 14 days late today. I’ve had 3 negative pregnancy tests. Been the doctors a couple of days ago and they said test again at the end of the week and the end of next week, if still negative wait for my next period as it could be stress however there was still a chance of pregnancy. This afternoon I’ve had pains down there and have began to bleed. But it’s not like a normal period, just spotting mainly when I wipe. Looking for advise? Should I still test? Give it a couple of days? What could it be?
