What steps would you take if you thought your child was neurodiverse? If you have a nerodiverse child, what did you do? How did you find out? How was the journey? Is there anything you think parents shouldn't do?

Bonus question: if you are neurodiverse what did your parents do and do you wis it was done differently?

Neurodiverse includes diagnosis such as Autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, Tourettes Syndrome, and more. Also metal health neurodiversity like Anxiety disorders, Dissociative disorders (like Depersonalization and Derealization) Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Depression disorders and others.

Sorry if this isn't controversial enough. I went through an alphabet soup of misdiagnosis from age 5 till I was 15. It took me till I was nearly 18 to start getting close to an accurate diagnosis and I'm still figuring out treatment and acceptance of self. My parental guardians didn't handle it well, and I'm curious as to how others would go about it.
