What should I do?????

I started my period 2-3 years ago and when it first started my mom said she would take me to a obgyn but she hasnt and my gastroenterologist (I have other chronic illnesses) says my iron difficenxy animia could be from heavy bleeding during my period. I am not close with my mom so its not like we talk about it and idk what really qualifies as 'heavy' bleeding. And recently I started having cramps during my period which I have NEVER had before and they hurt sooooo bad (coming from someone who has had chronic pain since 3) I see commercials all the timw talking about different problems that could cause things I have and it worries me and I know that I wont get to an obgyn until I move out and do it myself.
