My turn

I hate feeling this way.

The bitterness

The anger

The sadness

The emptiness.

The missing piece.

Everyone’s announcing and seeing that second line.

When is it gonna be my turn?

To see that second line,

To feel the flutters and little movements.

To see your little body curled up in my belly.

To watch you grow.

To experience the blessing of pregnancy.

To go through the miracle of birth.

To finally get to hold you in my arms for the first time.

When is it my turn?

Going on 31 months... Still waiting for my turn.

I will still wait impatiently for you.

Because giving up is not the answer.

Giving up will not make you come any sooner.

I know you’re not just a hopeful wish.

Just keep praying.
