Teen emo shallow deep me had some great insight

Found this while looking through old journals that I wrote in as a teen. I wrote a personal note to my future self. I was probably in 8th grade 14-15.

Now I’m 23.

This is one note of many and I like it

For some reason glow is cutting my picture off. It says “you will be strong for this. You might fall and feel like dying is better than this-but it’s not. I can not wait to see who you are. The new loves you will know, even though I can’t imagine such a thing. I know it will happen because you have so much to give and I love you for that”

I have not a clue what I was talking about. I had multiple shitty things happen at 14 including the passing of a family member. That year is still the worst year of my life to date. I like it all the same.

Am I the only one who wrote notes to myself as a teen? ...no okay
