How do you invest money

How do you have it work for you?

I've paid off my loans cause I live at home with my parents.

So I have no outstanding mortgage etc.

I pay for my car, insurance, phone, misc. etc which is about $800 a month. Question is how do you have your money make money?

I feel stuck. (Yes, I realize I'm lucky at 24 to live at home and no longer have $35,000 over my head in student loans)
