How do I buy a house?!?

So I’m 18 years old and me and my partner (
(He’s 20) have quite a bit of savings. I think within a year we’ll have enough to put a deposit on a house.
My question is, how??? Would I go down to the agencies or what? What do i need to think of and what bills are there? (Such as water rates).
Please help, I live in a not so nice home and I’m wanting to escape ASAP!
