Excessive Weight gain..
Feeling really self conscious about how much weight Ive gained.. Before I got pregnant, I was in the middle of a weight loss journey and lifestyle change. I started off around 203lbs and had lost 40lbs. We had been TTC for 3 years. Part of wanting to lose the weight wasn’t just for me but to hopefully help with my fertility in order to get pregnant. I hit 160lbs when I got my BFP! From then on its like the weight just flew back..as of my last appt I was 221lbs (61 lbs gained) and I feel awful..i worked so hard to lose what I had before pregnancy and had intentions to only gain “the recommended amount”..I know a lot of women gain a lot in their first pregnancy but some also hardly gain at all..I wanted so badly to atleast be able to stay under 200lbs..I’m 30+2 and I still have around 10weeks left! I’ll admit that I haven’t been perfect with what I eat but dang..I haven’t been that bad..the good news is that my OB isn’t concerned with my weight and all of my checks have been normal. The baby is healthy and that’s what matters most to me. I guess I’m just looking for other women who have gained a lot. I’m hoping I’m not alone in this😞 I absolutely love this baby and being pregnant. I’ll gladly take the weight I’ve gained as long as I get my little rainbow. My self esteem has just dropped.

Thank you to those who have said not to let it get me down. It’s good to see that I’m not the inly one who has gained. I’ve tried to be cautious when eating but my body obviously just wants to gain lol. I fully intend to lose the weight again and get back to my pre pregnancy weight. I keep forgetting that a lot of the weight will come down after the baby gets here. That makes me feel a little better.
