subcoronal hypospadias

We found out at our 6 month appointment that our baby has subcoronal hypospadias. We always though his pee hole was slightly off but no one ever said anything. We have an appointment in two weeks to see a urologist. I read that children with this should not be circumcised as they will need the extra skin for repairs during surgery. I'm so concerned because he was circumcised already....if he requires surgery. Anyone else's baby boy have a mild case of this? What was suggested? I'm so anxious about the possibility of him getting surgery. Any insight would be soooooo appreciated.
